  • Pecha Kucha Night comes to Greenville, SC

Posted on October 20th, 2009 by Spike and currently 7 commenting.

At last, the offical Pecha Kucha Night is coming to Greenville.

    Not familiar with Pecha Kucha?

    Oh Wikipedia, where art thou?

…usually pronounced in three syllables like “pe-chak-cha”, is a presentation format in which content can be easily, efficiently and informally shown, usually at a public event designed for that purpose. Under the format, a presenter shows 20 images for 20 seconds apiece, for a total time of 6 minutes, 40 seconds. Presenters are typically from the design, architecture, photography, art and creative fields, but it has also stretched over to academia and the business world.

We’re officially opening up the doors for submissions to present and also have a place where you can reserve your FREE seat. (But we’re asking for a $5 donation at the door to cover the costs.)

It’s going to be November 12th // the Hugenot Mill at the Peace Center \\ 20:20 (that’s 8:20PM)

I attended a Pecha Kucha night in Portland, Maine a couple of years ago and it was one of the most stumulating and fun evenings I’ve ever had. Can’t wait for this one in Greenville!
