NOW HIRING: Spring Intern

We’re heading into the most wonderful time of the year here at Brains on Fire. No, not the holidays (thought we do love that, too). I’m talking about new intern time! Yep. We’re on the hunt for our Spring 2014 intern.

Rather than just posting a job description, we thought we’d do something a little different this year. Last week I had the opportunity to sit down with some of our interns of yore to talk to them about their impressions of Brains on Fire, what they learned during their time with us and where they’ve gone since hanging up their intern hats. (Don’t worry, we don’t actually make you wear an intern hat.)

Here’s what they had to say. (You’ll find the internship specifics after the video jump.)

THE DETAILS
· Start date: January 2014
· Full-time; unpaid internship
· Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (with an hour for lunch)
· Length of internship is about 3 months, but we have some flexibility on this if needed

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who can articulate their strengths (or at least their goals) so that we can best utilize your talents as part of the team. Yes, there will be the occasional errand running and phone answering, but we try very hard to give our interns a hands-on experience and as many opportunities to shine as possible. We want you to feel that your time with us has challenged you to grow and evolve. We also want you to feel as though you have made a unique contribution to the work and culture at Brains on Fire.

We’re not your average marketing agency, and this won’t be your average internship. Typically, the best interns have been “creative” interns with production skills, but this is not a requirement.
