Farewell 2013

It seems like just yesterday that we met, 2013, but you’ve come and gone  in a blaze of greatness. So much has happened in the past 365 days; if we stopped to recount and relive it all, it’s possible we’d find ourselves still standing here this time next year. Instead, we offer two little words: thank you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on another wonderful journey around the sun. Thank you to every person, encounter, experience, exchange and serendipitous blip that taught us something, gave us reason to stop and think, ignited our passion or simply put a smile on our face. Thank you Starbucks baristas for fueling our fire at pretty much every hour of the day. Thank you to the team within our walls for having strong minds, open hearts and an unrelenting willingness to give of your talents to help others do their thing. Thank you challenges, roadblocks and unexpected surprises for keeping us sharp, giving us a reason to think outside the box and proving to be some of the greatest teacher of all in the end. Thank you to Wiley for helping us turn our passion into The Passion Conversation. Thank you to every group, company and organization that invited us to come speak, present, workshop and share our thoughts and ideas. Thank you to every person who took a few moments out of life to write us a letter or pick up the phone to say hello or share the love. And last, but certainly not least, thank you to our courageous clients, without whom, we’d cease to exist.  Thank you for inviting us to become a part of your story; it’s a privilege and an honor we hold in our hearts every day of the year.

2013, it’s been real and awesome. 2014, we’ll see you soon. But in the meantime…

As I am each and every year, I’m thankful for the wisdom, wit and wonder that comes out of Brains on Fire. You inspire me to be better at my work, happier in my life, and more giving in my community. Thanks for being you!

Best wishes on a joyous 2014!
