Thought Engine

Steve Schultz is a graduate of Souderton High School, in Souderton, PA (alma mater of the Dead Milkmen). He then moved on to the University of Richmond, where he graduated cum laude with a Sociology & Rhetoric double major. He was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honorary, and Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatrical Honorary…yeah, he was THAT guy. After graduating, Steve bounced around Richmond, VA as an actor, comedian, radio DJ, development director and theatre administrator, before making his way to Greenville. And, boy howdy, has Greenville been good to him. Here he met the love of his life (hey there Erin), somehow convinced her to marry him, joined her in the wonderful world of Professional Storytelling, and had the honor of playing Benedick to her Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing…a dream come true. He also spent one year of his life as a Journeyman Resident Actor at the Warehouse Theatre, and has spent three wonderful years teaching and directing children’s theatre, finally working with people on his level- literally and figuratively. These days, when not dreaming of his next vacation to Disney World, he can usually be found reading to his baby boy, Sam. Here at Brains on Fire, he holds the title Thought Engine. He’s the front-line thinker of the insight team. He’s also one of our storytellers, and he’s heading up the amazing Curiosity team. Basically, he gets to think all day. Pretty sweet, huh? Go ahead…give him something to think about. It’s what he does best.
