Alexis Bass

Insight Prodigy

Arbitrary Facts:
  • Minor in film studies
  • Cellist in the making
  • Watches French films with the subtitles on

What do you get when you start with a farm-raised girl, throw in some advertising and film studies, mix in a few dogs, some time down under and a handful of the biggest international brands around? Well, you get Alexis Bass, Brains on Fire’s new account service and insight prodigy.

Alexis has packed more into her few years in the industry than most can in a decade – and her school record is just as impressive. When she left her 1900s farm home outside of a small South Carolina town, she headed to Columbia for schooling. Her time at USC yielded an Addy for work on Burt’s Bees and a media planning internship at TIAA-CREF. But she was still hungry. So she headed up to Virginia to leave her mark on the Brandcenter at VCU where she was chosen from hundreds of international teams to do work for names like Diamler Chrysler and Hilton.

Alexis’ adventures after school have been a mix of research, insight, account planning and general domination of the marketing industry. Her experience in museum-fact-finding at Riggs Ward and researching for the New Balance brand means deep, quality, dirt-under-the-fingernails insights for our clients. But research isn’t her only weapon – Alexis is a brand-tested account planner from Saatchi & Saatchi, who has worked with heavy-hitters like Tide, Downy, Pampers and Duracell, to name a few.

Sound intimidating? She’s not. In fact, her calm personality puts people at ease – and that’s why we like her. In the Brains on Firesphere, Alexis carries the torch for a patriotic, costume-wearing community and spearheads insight strategy for many of our major partners. And when she’s not at Brains on Fire connecting people to make the world a better place, you’re most likely to find her playing with her pups or watching her brother play the tuba.
