From media planning to sales to public relations, Katie has held various roles that converged forming her very own yellow brick road pointing to South Carolina and Brains on Fire. It was the perfect storm of community, sunshine and excitement that lead her to Greenville, and she has been smiling ever since.

A native Chicagoan, these days Katie enjoys basking in the warm weather and bragging about southern sunshine. She can'thelp but laugh when people refer to her as a Yankee.

Katie’s passions include dancing, cooking and fawning over Italian culture. (She spent a little time there studying abroad and savoring the local flavor.) She has had a lifelong love affair with thelibrary, and unlike George Costanza, Katie thoroughly enjoys when her worlds collide.

In another life, Katie might have been an English teacher. Today, she lives vicariously through those grammatical perfectionists in the magically spectacular world of Wonderopolis.
