Around here we like to keep our money two ways: safe and growing. So naturally we’re not going to let just anyone get their hands on our greenbacks.

That’s why we hired Logan Metcalfe – a world-traveled business and finance heavyweight with both start-up and Fortune 100 experience. Well, that and we like hearing his New Zealander accent around the office. 

The son of an Air Force pilot, Logan’s childhood saw lots of travel, including a 5-year stint in Singapore. (Yeah. We’re jealous too.) He ended up back in his homeland, though, and graduated from the University of Auckland with high marks in just about every area a student can earn a mark.

After graduation, Logan decided to export his business smarts from the land-of-many-sheep. He worked as a consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton in both Sydney, Australia and New York City, solving business problems for companies in the banking, media, airline, mining, non-profit, telecommunications and energy industries. Booya.

Academia hadn’t let go of the leash, though, and Logan earned an Ivy League MBA from Harvard Business School in 2003. Soon after he moved to the mountains of North Carolina to help the founder of a baking company build America’s leading brand of all-natural, ready-to-bake cookie dough, handling all the financial, operational, and administrative craziness associated with it. (Did we mention that we’re honored to have him on the team?) Most importantly, though, he had a hand in baking the largest cookie in the world. That’s right. All 40,000 pounds of it.

After we heard about the cookie, we were able to dash into the arena and rope this business giant into joining our team of tequila drinking pirates – and we couldn’t be happier he joined us.

When he’s not rummaging through the Brains on Fire Money Vault, you might find Logan in the pilot’s seat of an airplane, feeding his chickens or making rooster tails with a finely tuned slalom ski.
